JJJJJJJJJAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSYYYYYYYYYYY

You know what's really weird?  I could have sworn I asked Jassy to write on this blog three weeks ago.  Huh, I guess she never got the message with the daily text messages.  But, I'm not bitter.  :) Hope you have a good week!

Yes . . . I've been bitten .  . .  by the Sherlock Holmes bug.  I had always been fascinated by the detective, but I had only heard of him through oral presentations.  Then, my dear friends Arika and Max encouraged me to watch the first, newer version at Max's house.  It was amazing and the next weekend or maybe even the next day, we saw the second one in theaters.  Anyway, then I come to find out there is a BBC TV series called Sherlock. For those who don't know (SHAME ON YOU!) it is a series based on all the main characters but they are in modern times.  Sherlock is played by the amazing and rather attractive Benedict Cumberbatch.  At first, I have to admit, he didn't do much for me, perhaps because he was rather snarky, but at the same time, his character never changes and I have a thing for people who don't give excuses for how they act because that is just how they are.
Anyway, this led me to watching the first two seasons which are amazing.

*SPOILERS*

I fell in love with him when he points out that Irene Adler does love him, at least in some sort of fashion . . . *melt*

Sherlock Holmes: Sentiment is a chemical defect found in the losing side.
Irene Adler: Sentiment? What are you talking about?
Sherlock Holmes: You.
Irene Adler: Oh . . . Look at the poor man. You don’t actually think I was interested in you? Why? Because you’re the great Sherlock Holmes, the clever detective in the funny hat?
Sherlock Holmes: No...[Takes her hand and leans in to whisper] because I took your pulse. Elevated. Your pupils dilated. I imagine John Watson thinks love’s a mystery to me, but the chemistry is incredibly simple and very destructive. When we first met, you told me that a disguise is always a self portrait, how true of you, the combination to your safe – your measurements.[Holds up her phone] But this, this is far more intimate. This is your heart, and you should never let it rule your head. [He starts entering digits] You could have chosen any random number and walked out of here today with everything you worked for. But you just couldn’t resist it, could you? I’ve always assumed that love is a dangerous disadvantage. Thank you for the final proof.
Irene Adler: Everything I said. It’s not real. I was just playing the game.
Sherlock Holmes: I know. And this is just losing.
[He holds up her phone, having finally deduced her password. It reads I AM S-H-E-R LOCKED]

and when he tells Molly he needs her.

Sherlock Holmes: You're wrong, you know? You do count. You've always counted and I've always trusted you. But you were right. I'm not ok.
Molly Hooper: Tell me what's wrong.
Sherlock Holmes: Molly...I think I'm going to die.
Molly Hooper: What do you need?
Sherlock Holmes: If I wasn't everything you think I am, everything that I think I am...would you still want to help me?
Molly Hooper: What do you need?
Sherlock Holmes: You.

Cut and imagine me hyperventilating on my couch because of so much attractiveness.

*THE END OF SPOILERS*  *MAYBE*

The first time I watched Mr. Cumberbatch, I really liked his acting.  It was in a very moving film entitled Amazing Grace.  If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and do.

Anyway, there is this one episode of Sherlock, where Holmes, sure he has seen/heard of an experiment before says to Watson and a scientist, "Get out.  I need to go to my mind palace."

Feel free to read how to do it here. I have tried it thus far, and it seems quite amazing.  I have a room for work/career, shopping (food and other things). people, family, and school.  It's actually quite amazing.  Anyway, if you want a better memory, I do not believe there are any quick fixes.  Many times it is simply hard work.  I remember my brother sharing this memory building technique that I truly believed helped me.

Anyway, thus Sherlock is my new obsession and I do not think I can wait until 2013 (when the next season should be out)  an entire year people!!  Each episode is 90 minutes, so I understand it's like shooting an entire movie each go, but still, don't they care about their fans?  There should definitely be more than just 3 epidodes each season. Can I get a holla?

Anybody?

Anybody?

Oh, just remembered, despite how much I loath him, I find that I'm in archenemy like with the character of Jim Moriaty.  He is strangely  . . . strange.

I have my classes figured out for next semester and this time I will be taking 18 credits.  I did 17 this semester and have survived thus far.  We will see how I do for the rest of the summer.  My mom and sister will be visiting me in the next few weeks and I am so excited to see them.  Last, but certainly not least, Arika's birthday is coming up guys!  What should I get her?

All for now.  Have a great Sunday!

Writing and getting back to it.

It's been a while.  Finally!  Jazzy posted!  Jeez . . . took her long enough. :D
Anyway, my sister was on a mission for over a year.  She got back in April and it was great to see her.  I immediately gave her my books to read, the ones I'd written while she was gone.  Let's just say she is a fast reader.  She was reading them in a day.  Anyway, keep in mind that there were two books I had only hand written . . . and not transferred to the computer yet.  And since she probably would have a difficult time reading my writing, I decided to save her the trouble.
Well, we had an agreement that I would give her the third book to a trilogy by 4:00 PM tomorrow.  The question is can I make the deadline?
I have to admit that having a deadline and someone actually going to look for it has been great help.  I will be able to make the deadline tomorrow as long as there is no crazy natural disaster or nuclear declaration of war.  I'm excited to have my sister back.  Mostly because she has forced me to write.  Even if it's rewriting.  Regardless, it's great to have my main cheerleader again.  Let's hope this is a sign of my future writing as well.
Have a great weekend wherever you are.  Be kind to one another!
